Moog to expand Blacksburg operations |

Moog Components Group said it has begun an expansion of its Blacksburg operations.
The company is grading a site for a 72,550-square-foot building adjacent to its
existing facility at 1213 N. Main
St.
The company intends to move some of the operations in the existing Main Street
building to the new one when the structure is done mid-next year, spokeswoman
Cynthia White said.
The company has 50 jobs openings, she said.
The New River Valley Moog operations, part of East Aurora, N.Y.,-based Moog
Inc., are focused on design and manufacturing of motion control and electronic
components used in industrial, commercial, medical, marine, aerospace and
defense applications.
Moog employs 1,100 in the New River Valley at three Blacksburg
locations and one each in Christiansburg and Galax.
